Biblical lace (working title) is a hybrid fiber art, wearable artist book and sound installation about the relationship between the female body and the church. The opening of this exhibit is scheduled for May 2011.

EXCLUSIONS, AN ARTIST BOOK READING
Exclusions is a heavy tome filled with medical exclusions extracted from employee health care policies offered by the Catholic dioceses and archdioceses in the United States. These legal documents were read from during a performance whereby the narrator was costumed as the Bride of Christ.

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST
The Bride of Christ is a hand-stitched wedding veil with the words “Father, Son & Holy Spirit” stitched over the eyes and mouth. Accompanying photographs document the embodiment of the veil.

Linking the private to the public, this installation transformed a CTA car from a transitory, utilitarian space to a destination in itself. In an alternative method of viewer interaction, this dream like, imaginary world was inhabited with both the average headphone wearing, Red Eye reading commuter and the cookie baking, novel reading home body.
