Why knit when I can just wear an unrolled skein of yarn around my neck? Isn’t it simply gorgeous? Don’t you want to play with it? Yum-Yum!
Yes, I know. I have a lot of interests and I jump around a lot. This week it is knitting, last week it was artist books. One thing is consistent though. I love encaustics all year round (and my friends and family).
Back to “work” (aka the tv).

You are funny! I thought that was a scarf of fabric! What ever works right? Interdisciplinary artists DO move around…in fact I imagine the art community is pretty divided into two clumps of people; clump one does one or two things, ALL THE TIME (and I’m sure thoroughly love what they do – at least we hope) and clump two has their interests spread out over several areas and may be strongest in a couple and proficient in any number more.
I’d say I fall into clump two – I’m strong with film/video and ceramics, but MAN do I love me so many other things…painting (all paints too), book binding/making, drawing, collage, sculpture, story telling…
What ever works for the person right? That’s what we gotta do – and we LOVE IT! Am I right?!
