Day 1 was a short day. My hubby & I grabbed a late afternoon flight from Austin to Chicago. Here’s proof that Austin is a small world. On my way to the ladies room at the Austin airport, I passed this little built in art gallery and guess what I see? A painting by my friend and fellow Texas Wax member, Marilyn Fenn!

That was only the beginning of a very exciting trip. We spent a great evening catching up with friends on the car ride from the airport. Then we enjoyed a glass (or two) of wine with our great friend, who is always kind enough to let us stay with her when we visit the city.

Woo-hoo! It looks great — I was out of town when the artist tour happened, so this is the 1st time I’ve seen my painting installed!
