Tea House #223. 12 x 16. Encaustic on wood panel. © Eileen Goldenberg.
Chicago area residents have the opportunity to see an encaustic painting exhibit at Prairie State College. The show, Tangible Wax, is curated by Eilleen Goldenberg whose work you may recognize from the book Embracing Encaustic. It will also feature the work of local Austinite, Sharon Kyle Kuhn, a fabulously talented artist and buddy of mine. If anyone is interested, I’ll be in Chicagoland from Jan 26 – 28 and I would love to carpool down to Chicago Heights for this exhibit.
